Amazonite
Amazonite is a bright green-blue variety of microcline (igneous-rock). Its color is due to high temperatures in combination with the enclosed lead particles. Amazonite has a hardness of 6 to 6.5 on the Mohs scale.
The name Amazonite comes from the Amazon River. However, this gemstone has never been found in the Amazon region. The name amazonite is based on a true mistake!
Spiritually, Amazonite is seen as the stone of balance and protection. In addition, the stone could have a positive effect on mood swings.
